Storia: Storicamente, l'Albergo Internazionale affonda le sue radici, come quelle del suo glicine che si innalza fino ai tetti, in un insieme di costruzioni risalenti all'epoca di Sisto V (XVI sec.), a loro volta fondate su edifici che appartennero agli "Horti Luculliani" del I sec. a.C.


Molte di queste strutture sono ancora visibili, essendo state oggetto di amorevole cura nelle opere di adattamento della costruzione - albergo dal 1870 - alle piu' moderne necessita' dettate dalla tecnica dell'ospitalita'.
