Ubicazione:
L'Hotel GENIO si trova sulla principale arteria che
attraversa il centro della città - da est ad ovest - il
corso Vittorio Emanuele II e proprio a fianco della
Stazione di Porta Nuova. Il centro storico della
città ''inizia proprio da questo punto'': percorrendo a
piedi 1200 metri - tutti sotto i portici di via Roma (che è
la via perpendicolare a corso Vittorio Emanuele ) - si
raggiunge piazza Castello, fulcro dei siti storici, museali
ed architettonici della città.
Storia: Il
palazzo è stato costruito nel 1873, in attuazione del primo
piano regolatore firmato dall'arch. Ceppi dopo
l'unificazione dello Stato del 1861: continue opere di
rinnovamento e di ampliamento hanno consentito di
raggiungere la dimensione ricettiva di 120 camere.
Nel mese di gennaio dell'anno 2002 è stata conclusa
l'ultima operazione di innovazione: totale rifacimento
degli impianti di condizionamento e riscaldamento, nuovi
serramenti interni ed esterni di sicurezza che garantiscono
la migliore insonorizzazione, totale rinnovamento degli
impianti tecnologici ed elettrici.
Sostituzione di
tutte le
pavimentazioni a moquette, dei tendaggi e delle
decorazioni.
Dall'anno 1966 la gestione dell'Hotel Genio è curata dalla
famiglia Garetto (titolare, sempre in Torino, dell'Hotel
Gran Mogol ).
Entrambi gli Hotel fanno parte della
catena
internazionale BEST WESTERN, garanzia - in Italia - di
elevati standard qualitativi.
Camere:
L'hotel dispone di varie tipologie di camere,
particolarmente curate negli arredi e nei dettagli, fornite
naturalmente di tutte le più significative dotazioni
(TV satellitare, pay TV, presa modem,
frigobar).
Un gusto e una cura particolari caratterizzano gli
ambienti delle junior suites e delle camere deluxe di
notevole ampiezza.
Molte camere sono riservate a non fumatori.
Colazione:
La prima colazione viene servita in un ambiente ampio e
luminoso,
una sala è per fumatori.
Il buffet varia ogni giorno: oltre ai cibi e alle bevande
tipiche del continental breakfast,
di volta in volta si servono dolci e torte di nostra
produzione.
Il personale è a continua disposizione per richieste di
piatti particolari
(uova e bacon, frittate, etc…).

Congressi:
Due nuove protagoniste per una
meeting area geniale
Ancora più spaziosa, ancora più attrezzata, ancora più
flessibile. Ecco come si presenta la nuova meeting area
dell’hotel Genio che, da settembre 2004, dispone di due
sale congressi in grado di ospitare rispettivamente 70 e 56
persone. Intercollegabili in video conferenza e dotate di
attrezzature proprie di ultima generazione, queste sale
offrono impianti di diffusione e video proiezione, spazio
segreteria e punto internet.
Allestibili con
postazioni a
teatro o per riunione, sono pronte ad accogliere convegni e
incontri di lavoro, rispondendo ad ogni esigenza con
flessibilità e accuratezza.
Completano la meeting area due sale da 20 e 26 posti, un
ampio foyer con guardaroba, una zona catering con cucina
propria disponibile per coffe—break, brunch e

Location: he
Hotel GENIO is situated on the main road which crosses the
centre of the city of Turin from east to west, Corso
Vittorio Emanuele II, and is located right next to Porta
Nuova Railway Station. The city's historical
centre ''starts right here''. Walking the 1200 metres under
the arches of Via Roma (perpendicular to Corso Vittorio
Emanuele II,) brings you to Piazza Castello, which marks an
area rich in museums and sites of historical and
architectural interest.
History: The
building was constructed in 1873 as part of the first
development plan signed by architect Ceppi after the
unification of Italy in 1861, and continuous renovation and
extension work has allowed the hotel to reach a capacity of
120 bedrooms.
In January 2002, the most recent and extensive renovation
work on the hotel was completed, and included a complete
overhaul of the heating and air conditioning systems, new
interior and exterior safety fittings that guarantee the
best possible soundproofing.All our electrical and
technological installations were also entirely renewed,
while all the carpeting, curtains and décor was
replaced.
The Garetto family (also managing the Gran Mogol Hotel in
Turin) has been running the Hotel Genio since
1966.
Rooms: The
hotel has various types of bedrooms, all of which are
beautifully kept, elegantly
furnished, and naturally, equipped with all manner of
comforts (satellite TV, pay TV,
modem connection, minibar).
Our junior suites are furnished with particular taste
and care, as are our extremely spacious deluxe
bedrooms.
Many rooms are reserved for non-smokers.
Breakfast:
Breakfast is served in a spacious and well-lit room and the
buffet varies every day. As well as all the food and drink
typical of a continental breakfast, from time to time we
also serve cakes and sweets made by ourselves. Our staff
are at your disposal for any other requests you may have
(bacon and eggs, omelettes, etc).
Conference
rooms:
Two new protagonists for a genial
business area!
For meetings, congresses and conferences, our clients will
be able to choose from two brand new halls, with an area of
80 m2 and 70 m2 respectively.
The conference halls
will be
complemented by wardrobe facilities, a secretarial office,
internet connections and bathrooms, as well as a
comprehensive range of equipment and services to satisfy
all our clients’ requirements.
The two new halls
can be
arranged in a theatre, bench, horseshoe or central table
layout, and can also be connected by means of two doors or
by the installation of a special screen.
Furthermore, there
are two additional halls on the first floor, with an area
of 32 m2 and 36 m2, capable of accommodating 20 and 26
people respectively.
Our kitchens are also
available to
provide lunch in a spacious dining hall seating up to 120
people.
