La struttura: La struttura alberghiera ha conservato intatto l’impianto architettonico di base, infatti le 17 stanze – di cui 11 singole e 6 doppie (tutte con bagno) – sono state ricavate nelle celle dell’antico monastero.

Camere: Le stanze, organizzate in due camerate dette di San Filippo e San Luigi, si affacciano su una balconata in legno interna. In ogni camera troverete soffitti con travi e mattoni, l’arredo in legno di noce sobrio e misurato, televisione, telefono e frigobar.
In via di realizzazione le quattro suite, ricavate nelle stanze in cui soggiornò Ferdinando Borbone, Duca di Spagna.
Complessivamente, l’ambiente austero ed essenziale sembra ricalcare le antiche regole monastiche improntate all’eclusione del superfluo e alla semplicità.

Ristorante 12 Monaci: Il ristorante “12 Monaci”, inaugurato di recente, è situato all’interno dell’antica Sala del Refettorio. Con le sue colonne di pietra a tre navate è un ambiente austero ed elegante allo stesso tempo, severo ed incredibilmente evocativo. Accoglie i suoi ospiti preferibilmente su prenotazione (chiuso il mercoledì). Troverete la classica cucina locale con accenni alla cucina siciliana ed internazionale, a cura dello chef Giovanni De Candido. Tappa irrinunciabile per assaporare i piatti e i salumi tipici parmigiani, il ristorante “12 Monaci” è un punto di riferimento per chi proviene da lontano e da vicino: come resistere alla tentazione di una bella serata tra mura tanto fresche quanto antiche?

Building: Nevertheless it has been transformed in a hotel, the building has maintained the original architectonic plan with its 17 guest rooms, and exactly 11 single and 6 double ones (all of them with private bathroom), arranged from the ancient monastery cells.

Rooms: The rooms are located in two wings (with porticos) of the building named San Filippo and San Luigi, and some of them face on a inner wood balcony. Every room has a wooden-beam and bricks ceiling, the essential and sober furniture is walnut made and telephone and tv are provided. Available very soon a magnificent suite arranged in the same room where Ferdinando Borbone, Duke of Spain, stayed. The place so clean and basic is approximately quite similar with the details of monastic rules based on simplicity and surplus exclusion.

A stay in Fontevivo Relais will give you the chance to appreciate sounds, scents and local flavours: the tolling of a bell, the whisper of children, the Parma cooking.
