Only eight kilometres from Portoferraio, in the most exclusive bay of the Island of Elba, the Hermitage Hotel was estabilished in the 1960s next to a beach with golden sand.
There it nestles in the luxuriant Mediterranean landscape with its mastic, holly oak, arbutus and rosemary bushes.
Today the hotel is a modern structure right beside the sea, rising up from the sand and the rocks and blending harmoniously into the natural beauty of the landscape.
