Storia: Celide , la padrona di una bottega fuori
le mura, vicino ai Macelli.
Nel 1900, qui a Lucca.
Celide non ha mai lasciato quella bottega: ci ha lavorato
mentre la bottega diventava trattoria, ristorante, albergo
e il mondo cambiava intorno ( tutto un secolo).
Il suo nome è rimasto ed è ancora il nostro: il nome
dell’albergo.

History: Celide, the woman who
had a shop outside the Walls, near the old slaughterhouse.
In 1900, here in Lucca. Celide (you say Chay-lee-day) never
left the shop – she worked there while it became a
trattoria, restaurant, then hotel, while the world changed
around her, an entire century.
Her name remained and it’s ours to this day the name of the
hotel.
