Ubicazione: Nell'ampia lunga e verdeggiante Valle Stura che collega la Pianura Padana e Cuneo con la stupenda Provenza, nel XII secolo sorse l'imponente CASTRUM DEMONTIS, oggi Demonte, ridente paese ricco di storia e di opere medioevali. Attraverso l'antica Porta del Gerbo entravano nel Castrum Demontis i ricchi prodotti della fertile Valle Stura.
