BY CAR
From Milan: The distance from Milan to Menaggio is 80 km. Follow the indications for the motorway Laghi and then pick up the A9 Como – Chiasso. Take the last exit Como Nord (the last exit for Italy before arriving in Switzerland). When you arrive at a circus, turn left and follow the indications for Menaggio.
From Lugano: The distance from Lugano to Menaggio is 27 km. Take the motorway exit Lugano Nord and follow the indications for Gandria – St. Moritz. Once crossed through Lugano, follow the indications for Menaggio. After having passed the border at Gandria, follow the 340 road to Menaggio.
N.B. There is a car ferry service in between Varenna and Menaggio and between Bellagio and Menaggio

From Italy
From Milan Central station by FS train to Como S. Giovanni station. From the square in front of the station about every hour bus line C10 of the SPT company leaves for Menaggio (32 km) Buy tickets before boarding the bus at the bar or newsagent inside the station.
Or: From Milan Central Station by FS train line direction Sondrio as far as Varenna-Esino. From Varenna station it’s 300 m down to the boat dock where you take either the boat or ferry across the lake to Menaggio.
Or: From Milano Cadorna station by FNME train to Como Lago. Then from Piazza Matteotti (50 m from Como Lago station) about every hour bus line C10 of the SPT company leaves for Menaggio (32 km) 300 m from the station Como Lago is the boat dock from where boats and hydrofoils leave for Menaggio.
From Switserland:
To Lugano station. From Lugano in Via Campo Marzio about every two hour bus line C12 of the SPT company leaves for Menaggio (27 km); from the train station to the bus station is more than 1 km. We advise taking a taxi to the bus stop.

The distance from Malpensa airport to Menaggio is 108 km. You follow the indications for the motorway A8 direction Milano and then you pick up the A9 Como – Chiasso. Take the last exit Como Nord (the last exit for Italy before arriving in Switzerland). When you arrive at a circus, turn left and follow the indications for Menaggio.
By train from Malpensa Airport:
From Malpensa airport you take the Malpensa express as far as Saronno (one course every 30 minutes travel time 20 minutes). Here you change and take the train to Como (travel time 40 minutes). For the train times you can consult lenord You arrive at the station Como Lago. From here you can take bus line C10 to Menaggio (travel time 1.10 hr.) Follow the motor A4 direction Milano. From Milano follow the A9 Laghi in direction Como – Chiasso. Take the exit Como Nord (the last exit before the Swiss border) and at the circus follow the indications for Menaggio.
From Orio al Serio by train to Varenna and by boat to Menaggio
