HOTEL CANON D'ORO

In pieno centro storico di Conegliano, a due passi dal Duomo, il Canon d’Oro, insignito del titolo di “Residenza d’epoca”, accoglie l’ospite con la sua bella facciata affrescata di angeli leggiadri, nuvole e ritagli di azzurro, da alcuni studiosi attribuiti alla scuola del Pordenone, da altri a quella del Fiumicelli.
Il palazzo, che risale al 1500, per molti anni fu sede del Monte di Pietà. Nel XVIII secolo, con l’arrivo di Napoleone, cambiò destinazione d’uso, assumendo l’attuale vocazione di posto di ristoro e di alloggio.

Accoglienza: Gli interni, completamente ammodernati, sono impreziositi da mobili in stile veneto e pezzi di antiquariato. Il Canon d’Oro è frequentato da una qualificata clientela d’affari e da numerosi turisti stranieri, fra cui vari gruppi del ciclo-turismo americano. Nel recente passato ha accolto ospiti illustri, dal pretendente al trono d’Austria Otto d’Asburgo, all’ambasciatore della Regina d’Inghilterra ed oggi, non di rado, riceve personaggi dello spettacolo, della cultura e delle istituzioni.

Servizi: Il recentissimo ampliamento ha completato la struttura preesistente dotandola di 17 ulteriori camere complete di tutti gli optionals: doccia o vasca idromassaggio, telefono, connessione internet, Tv satellitare, frigobar e cassetta di sicurezza. Il servizio di lavanderia ed il parcheggio custodito completano i servizi a disposizione della clientela. Si accettano piccoli gruppi.

Le Stanze: Le camere, alcune delle quali mansardate, sono accoglienti e molto curate,dotate di aria condizionata, si propongono con arredo in stile od ambientazioni contemporanee.

La Gestione: Gestito dai fratelli Piero e Giancarlo Capraio e dalle rispettive mogli, il Canon d’Oro assicura un servizio puntuale e cordiale, un’atmosfera serena che regala un tocco di familiarità e mette l’ospite a proprio agio.

AIl Ristorante: Il ristorante si propone con uno stile raffinato, caratterizzato da una essenziale ma piacevole eleganza. La cucina si esprime con i piatti della gastronomia locale e regionale accostata ai migliori vini della zona.

La Posizione: La tranquillità dell’ambiente è completata da un delizioso giardino interno che, sul retro del locale, consente di immergersi nel verde a ridosso delle colline di Conegliano.

Right in the centre of the old part of the city of Conegliano, a few steps from the cathedral, the Canon d’Oro Hotel, bestowed “Residenza d’epoca”, welcomes you with its beautiful fresco facade of gracefully charming angels, and whyte clouds with patches of blue sky, which according to certain historians can be attributed to the Pordenone school and to others to that of Fiumicelli.
The building, that was constructed in 1500, was the site of Monte di Pietà. In the XVIII century with the arrival of Napoleon, the use was changed, taking on the vocation of refreshment and lodging.

Reception: The completely modernised interior is adorned with Veneto Style furniture and pieces of antiquity. The Canon d’Oro is frequented by a notable business clientele and by numerous foreign tourists, among which are various groups from the American tourist sphere. Recently we have wellkomed some illustrious guests, the pretender to the throne of Austria, Otto von Hapsburg, the British Ambassador of the Queen of England, and today it is not unusual to receive personalities from the worlds of show business, culture and institutions.

Services: The Hotel has been recently restructed. 17 new rooms complete with all possible comforts: air conditioning, hydro massage bath or shower, telephone, bar fridge, satellite tv and safe. All rooms are welcoming and extremely well kept. Features include a private park and garage space. Laundry available.
